Four Months

Junie has changed so much from the first two months!

During month 3, she started really paying attention to objects and grasping them.  She starting spitting up and hiccuping less. She also had her first big diaper blow out (woohoo!)!

During month 4, she got her first cold.  :(  But she also seems to be finally out of that constant fussy stage.  She's so sweet now - smiling a lot and even laughing a little.  She's also starting to get ticklish. She's so vocal now - talking to us with lots of vowel sounds and even "singing" with daddy.  She loves to push herself up from a sitting position into a standing one (with some help with balance). Her neck control is getting so much better - she can sit up in her bumbo chair and keep her head up.  She is starting to stick EVERYTHING in her mouth, especially her hands, and she is drooling all over the place!

June's favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear and her favorite toy is her Baby Einstein music player. She had her four month check-up today and measured 12 lbs. 13 oz., 24.3 inches, and is in the 96%ile in head circumference (she takes after her dad!).

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last two months:

Two Months

Look at how much this little girl has changed in just two months (she's wearing the same pants in her week 1 and week 8 photos!).  At her lightest, she was 5 lbs. and by 8 weeks, she had grown to 10 lbs. 5 oz.!  She also grew three whole inches, from 19 to 22!
She just graduated to size 1 diapers and is fitting into her 0-3 sized clothes.
You can see her personality starting to come out, too.  Look at that sweet smile!

At week 6, June started to show her little grin.  She is following objects with her eyes and loves to look at the people around her.  She also loves looking at lights and shows on TV with bright colors.  We do play time each day on her activity mat - she kicks her piano to play music and reaches towards her toys.  She's even grabbed them a few times.  She loves to move those legs and she's really working those leg muscles!  She likes to push her feet against everything.

Here are June's first two months:
